Ten years or more of experience teaching at a university or college as an assistant professor, associate professor, or professor, or comparable research experience at a university or national level institution with proof of having successfully mentored a doctorate candidate.

OR

A distinguished expert with a Ph.D. in pertinent, related, or applied fields from any academic establishment (not listed in A above) or business sector who has significantly advanced knowledge in the relevant, allied, or concerned field and can provide documentation of their work, given ten years of experience.

2. Post Name: Associate Professor

Essential Qualification

A  strong academic background and a Ph.D. in the relevant, related, or concerned field. A master’s degree with at least 55% of the possible points (or, if a point system is used, an equal grade in a point system)

Eight years of experience teaching and/or conducting research in a role equivalent to assistant professor in an academic or research capacity in a university, college, accredited research institution, or industry, plus at least seven publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, with a total research score of seventy-five (75) according to the standards outlined in Appendix II, Table 2 of the UGC Regulations, 2018.

3. Post Name: Assistant Professor

Essential Qualification

A master’s degree from an Indian institution with 55% marks (or an equal grade in a point system, if the grading system is used) in a relevant, related, or related topic, or an equivalent degree from a recognized international university

In addition to meeting the prerequisites listed above, the candidate must have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) administered by the UGC or the CSIR or a test comparable to that approved by the UGC, such as SLET/SET or have been awarded a Ph.D. in compliance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their occasional amendments, as applicable, to be excluded from NET/SLET/SET:

The Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal;

The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/ funded/ supported by the UGC / ICSSR/ CSIR or any similar agency. OR

Any one of the following might have contributed to the Ph.D. degree being earned from a foreign university or institution that was ranked in the top 500 globally at any point in time: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS); (ii) Times Higher Education (THE); or (iii) Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU)
